Our school is specifically for children who are not allowed into or cannot gain an education in the over-crowded Guatemalan public system. This inability is either due to their disabilities or the ridicule of other students. Some of the children have severe hearing or vision deficits, learning disabilities, cerebral palsy, down Syndrome or attention disorders.
Mission
Reaching out with the love of Christ to those with special needs in Santa Maria de Jesus.
Our Goal
Our goal is for the children to see themselves in God’s eyes, to know He loves them and has a purpose for their lives and to help them obtain that purpose. We want them to become productive adults who have a strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ as their foundation.
News & Prayer Requests
- We are in the process of building a new school especially designed for our needs.
- Please pray for the financial donations, through God’s provision, so the construction to be completed quickly. Our goal is to begin the 2007 school year in the new school.
- Each school year children come with new and different challenges in learning. Please pray for God’s guidance and wisdom for our teachers.
- Pray that God would continue to deepen and bless our relationship with the people of Santa Maria de Jesus.
- Pray that God will call additional therapists, teachers and a bookkeeper that share our same vision for the children.
