I John 2:10
“Whoever loves his brother lives in the light, and there is nothing in him to make him stumble.”
Hechos 2:8 works with the indigenous people of Guatemala to bring spiritual and physical renewal through the training of local pastors in their native Mayan language, Vacation Bible Schools for children and the construction of wells and latrines for families in Ixcan, Guatemala.
The name Hechos 2:8 is Spanish for Acts 2:8 which says “...and how is it that each one hears them in our own native language?”
The purpose of Hechos 2:8 is to train indigenous Guatemalan pastors in their native Mayan language, evangelize children and youth, and provide for basic needs of the community through the construction of wells and latrines. Roduel and Gerber Perez, along with their family have been working in Ixcan for over 8 years. They have chosen to work in the Ixcan area because it is the part of Guatemala that was most heavily affected by Guatemala’s 36 year violent civil war.
