A Little Bit About Us:
We are Guatemalan. I (Luis Carlos) was born in Guatemala City. Mirella was born in the city of Quetzaltenango(xela) It is a city-state in
the southwestern part of Guatemala.
We met in our church Iglesia Biblica, and dated one year before we decided to get married. Yes, we are newlyweds. We have only nine
moths of marriage.
We serve in our church in Worship, a cell group, in retreats and in other activities. In our spare time we like to go to the movies,
hear or play music together, and we like to clean our house (Mirella is so clean you have to be careful).
Our Calling:
I (Luis Carlos) started serving the Lord in my local church when I was 17 years old. After a while I started working in a program of the first
lady of the Nation. It was called Free and Victorious (Libres y triunfadores).
The purpose of that program was to reach the schools of the government of that time, because they wanted to prevent the gangs from forming.
It was successful but it was canceled a few months after.
Later, with a group of friends, we started a Worship & Praise group called ALABADLE. We recorded three albums together, and every one was very successful
in Latin America. The songs still play in many churches and radios today.
In the year 1996 I finished college and graduated from System Analyst and Programmer in the Francisco Marroquin University in Guatemala.
The next year I started working in New Hope Missions. I helped to establish this organization and helped to send Guatemalan Missionaries to the 10/40 Window.
In 1998 I graduated from the Bible School Cosecha al Munda, and went to the program of Missions in Calvary International in Jacksonville
Florida. I served for 4 ½ years in missions before joining Students International in 2001. Since the end of 2004 I have served in Mission Impact.
Mirella got saved two years ago. She is working in our church as one of the leaders of women close to my pastor´s wife. She has been
involved in many conferences of women International in Guatemala, USA, and Honduras. She is working as a secretary in a corporation that
exports roses to the US, and she helps me in the ministry as well.
