A Little Bit About Me:

I'm a Jersey Girl! I am from Sicklerville, New Jersey and my home church is Sicklerville United Methodist Church. I have two older sisters and a younger brother; my mom and my sisters are some of my dearest friends. I love to spend time with my family, go to the beach, listen to music, and take pictures.

My Calling:

I love kids, especially kids that speak Spanish! It wasn't always that way. The funny thing is I always wanted to go into the medical field, but God changed my heart...

God used short-term missions trips to reveal His calling on my life to work with the children and families of Santa Lucia Milpas Altas. I knew once I spent a few months with the children and the school of Life and Hope (Vida y Esperanza) that God had put a huge burden and love for the people of this village and a desire to see them come to know Jesus. I came on the mission field in September 2003.

In order to reach these families, I spent 3 years teaching English at Escuela Vida y Esperanza. This allowed me to build relationships with the children and get to know them personally. Throughout 2007 I will be working to further develop the Sowing Hope Child Sponsorship program at our school. My goal is to match up each student with someone willing to sponsor their Christian education for $30 a month.  I will also be doing Special Projects for Mission Impact and Escuela Vida y Esperanza, such as the yearly Mission Impact calendar and Sponsorship Handbook.

Another important part of my ministry will be visiting the families of my students throughout the year in order to build good relationships and friendships with the mothers, which I hope will lead to many opportunities to pray with them, listen to them, share with them, and lead them to the Lord.

Prayer Requests:

• Please pray for me as I begin a new  aspect of ministry and take on new challenges.
• Please pray that God would provide for my monthly needs through the donations of supporters.
• Please pray for the town of Santa Lucia M.A. that the people would see Jesus love displayed through our ministry at the school.
• Praise the Lord for His provision so far and for His protection on us.
• Praise the Lord that He has been leading and guiding me in the midst of many decisions over the past year.
