Build a Stove

Build a Stove - Many villages in Guatemala have women who suffer from respiratory problems due to cooking over an open fire on their kitchen floor. For a gift of $35, a safe and healthier cooking stove can be built. This stove is fuel-efficient, elevated, and the smoke from the burning wood is vented outside, which improves the quality of the air inside the home. The family provides some of the materials to encourage ownership and participation.

Child Sponsorship - Monthly

The Gift of Educating a Child - A practical way you can offer hope and a better future to a child in need is through our Sowing Hope Child Sponsorship Program. Being a monthly sponsor enables children from villages to attend school and receive a quality education based on the Word of God. Sponsorship creates a personal relationship between you and your sponsored child.

You will receive an information packet with a biography and photo of your student and quarterly updates. We ask for a minimum commitment of one year, but we encourage you to continue your sponsorship for as long as the child attends school.

Lice Wash Shampoo at Proximos Pasos -Your gift of $150 will buy the necessary supplies for one lice wash. Head-lice is a chronic and widespread problem at the school. This is done on a monthly basis to promote good hygiene among the students.

Pastoral Training

Train Rural Pastors: Help equip rural pastors in Guatemala as they study God's Word and learn how to shepherd their local congregations. Your donation will make it possible for trained teachers to go to isolated areas and provide monthly Bible and theology classes in native Mayan languages.

Lifetime of Clean Drinking Water - Give the gift of clean water to a family living in a rural village. Your gift will allow a family to build and install a Bio-Sand Water Filter in their own home. This filter prevents gastrointestinal infections by biologically treating drinking water prior to consumption. Part of your gift covers home follow-up visits and training by qualified water technicians.
