Selvin and Laurie met and were married while serving as misisonaries in the inner-city of Los Angeles. Sensing God leading them to minister in Selvin's home country, they joined Mission Impact and moved to Guatemala with their three children at the end of August 2009.
The Maaz Family lives in Guatemala City where Selvin directs Universidad Biblica Harvest. Harvest is working with Mission Impact's ministry Hechos 2:8 in Ixcan to provide Bible University training to rural pastors. There are hopes of beginning extensions of Universidad Biblica Harvest in several other Mission Impact sites.
